Eden Healthfoods is owned and run by Karen and Steven on the Mid North Coast in NSW. They uphold that what they do at Eden Healthfoods is very different to the industry standard, creating products which are in a league of their own. They understand that the closer you stick to food as found in nature, the more powerful and positive your body will respond to the nutrition. Instead of trying to isolate different nutrients, the power of those nutrients can be better utilised and recognised by your body the less they are played with.
Their aim is to bring out the highest quality health products possible, which goes beyond organics and involves identifying herbs and superfoods that are wild crafted, grown in the right environment, picked at the right time, dried at the right temperature, and treated in the least invasive ways so that the end user will get maximum effectiveness and create powerful health as a result.
In the 90s, after studying natural healing and herbs, they came to realise that most of the health products on the market didn’t work, didn’t get you well and could not always be trusted, often being made on the premise of profits first rather than purity and potency. They started to develop their own products for personal use, and as friends found out what they were doing and saw the difference in their products versus what was on the Australian market, they asked to purchase from them. From there, they decided to take the leap and invest in some packaging to take their products to the different markets in Sydney. Their products were so well received that they didn’t look back, giving up careers in the Medical and Health Industries to focus on their new found passion.
They chose the lifestyle that the Mid North Coast has to offer over the convenience of city life, with a vision to give their newborn baby the best standard of life possible. They now have 4 children and find Port Macquarie and surrounds to be the best place that a child can grow up in, having the best of both wild bush and pristine beaches. Their business has been able to thrive in this region due to the support of local health food stores, and they now supply over 1000 health food stores Australia Wide.
A common response they get to their products goes something like this, “I have tried every (insert product name here) on the market and yours is the only one that has ever worked.” When you take an Eden Healthfoods product, it is like eating a home cooked meal that your mother has been preparing all day long.
